Great Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo) also known as the Great Black Cormorant is a large black bird, but there is a wide variation in size in the species wide range. This is a very common and widespread bird species. It feeds on the sea, in estuaries, and on freshwater lakes and rivers.

 

 

INDIAN CUCKOO ( CUCULUS MICROPTERUS )

The Indian Cuckoo (Cuculus micropterus) is a member of the cuckoo order of birds. It is found in south Asia, Indonesia north to China and Russia. It is a solitary and shy bird and having distinctive call. The Indian Cuckoo is a brood parasite. It lays its single egg mostly in the nests of drongos and crows. It removes and eats an egg from the host nest before laying its own egg.

Contrary to White wagtail, which is abundant in the Dubai Pivot Fields i was only able to find two yellow wagtail Near the Big Pivot.
